About

Most of my work involves seismic isolation. Since the ultimate goal of LIGO is not to build the worlds most expensive siesmometer (although we have) the test masses have to be isolated from the ground motion. This plot illustrates the problem, it shows a typical ground input spectrum in green, and the expected (hoped for) strain sensitivities of various LIGO interferometers.
